These pickups represent one of Gibson’s most respected attempts at recreating the legendary late-’50s PAF tone—designed under the direction of Tim Shaw during the early-to-mid 1980s.

Known for their clarity, balance, and vintage-correct voicing, Shaw PAFs deliver everything you want from a classic Les Paul sound: warm, articulate lows, a sweet and open midrange, and smooth, musical highs without harshness.
