1988 Gibson SG Double '90. Verdigris green.

Rare SG with a single pickup, plays great, holds tune. Mojo to spare. Almost 40 years old, but has spent most of the last 15 years in its case. Lots of checking and dings, but no breaks.

24 fret, 25.5" scale (rare on a Gibson)

As you can see, it's lived a good life, but the guitar plays very well up and down the neck. The frets have wear and there is some corrosion on the top frets (see pics), but that has never been a problem. (I don't play up that high often, though.) I had this set up years ago (bone nut, locking tuners) and have never needed to have it set up again.

Single splittable humbucker - sounds great in both positions. Full has a great snarl, split sounds clean and sparkly, not tinny.

Split-diamond inlays! Mother-of-pearl style pickguard. Ebony fretboard.

String-through body design.

43mm nut. Neck is medium, easy to play, not too skinny.

Very lightweight.

Original velvet-lined case smells a little musty, but looks great, and is solid. All latches work. I bought this around 15 years ago, and there was a car sticker on it, which I always liked. I imagine someone's kid put it there. Easy enough to remove.

Not sure if the ashtray string cover (see pic) is original, but I leave it off as it makes changing strings a chore.

Came with Gibson speed knobs, which I swapped out for smaller Fender knobs as the volume knob is very close to the strings, and I kept inadvertently turning the volume down while strumming. I'm happy to include black speed knobs.

Grover locking tuners.

Not many of these around. I'm struggling with letting it go, TBH, but I'm not getting any younger and trying to get down to a few guitars.
