Here is a really nice recent Martin Custom Shop Authentic 1937 D-28 Aged in Amber Tone Sunburst, a seriously impressive dreadnought that delivers in every way.
This one truly sounds huge and captures everything you’d want from a great pre-war style Martin — it’s an absolute cannon. It features an Adirondack spruce top, East Indian rosewood back and sides, ebony fingerboard and bridge, and Waverly tuners, along with all the pre-war style appointments that make these Authentics so desirable.
The guitar is all original except for an added pickup and endpin jack, making it ready to gig right away.
Condition is very good. It has been played some, but it’s honestly hard to tell what is factory aging versus natural wear. There is finish checking and some light scratches, but overall it presents beautifully and is a very dependable instrument.
