Gretsch G6128 Duo Jet in very good to excellent condition. I'm listing it conservatively due to some light scratches on the back (clearly due to a belt buckle or rivets on jeans) and other minor bumps and surface dings.
I can't say enough about the build quality of this instrument. I've owned a few other Japanese guitars over the years (couple of Fenders, a Yamaha SG-1500), and the craftsmanship across the board is just insane. Not only that, but throw in the fact that this puppy has an ebony fretboard; you could not approach a Gibson of this level for under $4K.
Other features include Gretsch's classic FilterTron pickups, which provide a beautiful "honk" when cleaned up and a roar when you put the hammer down with some gain. The tone is somewhere between a P90 and a humbucker, but really it's its own thing. This guy can cover everything from country to metal. Also, I love the sort of Alamo-style inlays on the neck! (Sorry, I'm originally from Texas--hence the reference.) Finally, due to the chambered body, it's light (approx. 8 lbs) and extremely resonant. Unplugged it almost sounds like a banjo! In brief: good wood.
Comes with a Gretsch hardshell case. Any questions, please ask. Thanks for looking!
Mike
