For sale is a made-in-Mexico Fender Precision Bass (serial number dates it to late 90's). This is a solid, quality player’s bass, not a collector piece.
The bass has been upgraded with a brushed aluminum pickguard and the potentiometers have been completely removed for a clean look. The original pickup is wired directly to the jack. This is a plug and play bass - no volume or tone control, just a hot output.
Electronics cavity has been fully professionally shielded and properly grounded, and the bass is setup with flatwound strings. It's a pleasure to play. You'll also notice Fender chrome pickup and bridge covers for a classic early-’60s look, along with a bottom-mounted thumb rest and Dunlop strap lock buttons.
Good overall working condition but shows signs of use and wear given its age. Please see photos for a sense of the condition. Original pickguard and knobs included.
Will ship in a thick padded short scale bass Gig bag for protection.
