Overview

The OAE2 reproduces music without coloration. Nothing added, nothing left out.

Most headphones radiate sound directly at the eardrum. The OAE2's Front-sided Sound Field Modulation (FSFM) positions the transducer at an angle so sound interacts with the listener's own ear geometry first. Developed by Axel Grell over decades of acoustic research, FSFM produces natural, fatigue-free detail in the midrange and treble without artificial emphasis.

A new damping concept lowers the resonance frequency to 40 Hz (most dynamic headphones sit around 70 Hz), extending bass response significantly. The 40 mm bio-cellulose driver provides a large radiating surface with substantial excursion. The baffle's open surface area is twice that of comparable headphones, covered with precision-engineered German stainless steel mesh that defines acoustic impedance across the frequency range.

The OAE2 is fully disassemblable and repairable. Every component is replaceable. Earpads and head padding are customer-swappable. Production is environmentally certified, packaging is plastic-free.

Premium velour earpads and memory foam headband padding. Clamping force tuned for long sessions without pressure points. Ships with a 3.5 mm cable (6.3 mm adapter included) and a balanced 4.4 mm cable. Dual 2.5 mm 4-pole sockets allow single or dual-sided connection.
