For sale is a beautiful condition Taylor K 26CE. This has all the original tuning gears, bridge, saddle, nut and bridge pins. Comes with the original factory hardshell case. This is a very highly figured, highly select tone wood model.

The 2015 Taylor K26ce is a premium all-solid Hawaiian koa Grand Symphony (GS) acoustic-electric guitar from Taylor’s Koa Series. It’s a pre-V-Class model, so it differs in several key ways from the current (post-2020) version you might see in modern listings.

Key Specifications for the 2015 Model

•  Body Shape: Grand Symphony — a larger, bolder shape than Taylor’s popular Grand Auditorium, with a wider lower bout (around 16¼”) and less pinched waist. This delivers strong volume, robust low-end power, and good projection for strumming or flatpicking while still supporting fingerstyle.

•  Woods: All-solid Hawaiian koa for the top, back, and sides. Koa offers a warm, midrange-focused tone with clarity, sparkle in the highs, and a sweetness that often develops and opens up over years of playing. The figure on 2015-era koa is frequently praised as particularly striking (flame/figure can be more pronounced than some later production).

•  Bracing: Taylor’s CV (Crossover/Variant) bracing with relief rout. This traditional-style bracing emphasizes a balanced response with good volume and warmth.

•  Cutaway: Standard Venetian cutaway. It offers solid upper-fret access

•  Scale Length: 25.5” (standard Taylor scale on this era’s model, not the shorter 24-7/8” introduced later). This gives slightly higher string tension, which many players find familiar and supportive for crisp attack and traditional feel.

•  Neck: Tropical mahogany with a comfortable satin finish and Taylor’s standard profile (typically a slim, playable C-shape). Nut width is 1-3/4” (or very close, around 1.6875–1.75” depending on exact specs). Ebony fingerboard with organic “Island Vine” or Spring Vine maple inlays.

•  Finish: Gloss Shaded Edgeburst on the body (to highlight the koa’s natural colors and figure), with maple binding and a simple wood-focused rosette (often single-ring maple/rosewood elements for an elegant, organic look).

•  Electronics: Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2) — behind-the-saddle transducer with individually calibrated sensors. Controls include volume, active bass, and treble, plus a phase switch. It’s known for natural, dynamic plugged-in tone with good feedback resistance, especially helpful on a hardwood koa top.

•  Other Details: Ebony bridge with bone saddle, Gotoh tuners (gold die-cast or similar), and it originally shipped with a deluxe hardshell case.

Sound Characteristics (2015 Version)

Players and reviews from that era describe the 2015 K26ce as having a big, warm, and controlled tone with:

•  Strong, throaty low end and good bass response thanks to the GS body.

•  Warm mids with koa’s signature clarity and a sweet, shimmering high end/sparkle.

•  Balanced overall voice that’s versatile for fingerstyle (including open/slack-key tunings), strumming, and recording.

Playability and Build

The GS body feels substantial but remains comfortable for most players. The Venetian cutaway and standard neck profile make it accessible for chord work and leads. Out of the box, these guitars typically have low, playable action with smooth frets. The all-koa construction makes each one visually unique, and the wood-focused appointments (maple binding, vine inlays) give it a classy, understated luxury look without heavy abalone.
