Tegeler Audio Vari-Tube Compressor (VTC)

Unit has been serviced and tested at Warm Audio (who is taking over Tegeler repair service in USA). A new PSU board from TEGELER Germany was shipped and installed. The older units (with old logo) had a known issue with PSU board over time. She's good to go!

Used in smokeless project studio. Has two scratches on top cover from rack insertion, not noticeable once in rack (see pic).

Condition: In very good cosmetic condition with barely any wear to the face. Minor scratches and rack rash only. Please see photos or get in touch if you require more information.

Built on the Vari-Mu principle (similar to Fairchild 670 and others) which sounds very musical and is ready to add a touch of class to your mixes.

Features a Class-A circuit with 4 triode tubes per channel and 3 transformers giving a rich, open tone. Triode valves contribute pleasing overtones and add presence while the transformers bring tighter, more defined bass and smoother top end.

The Vari-mu design does not include a ratio control but is controlled by the amount of input gain - subtle at lower input levels, with increasing compression as the gain increases.
