1998 PRS McCarty in Dark Cherry Sunburst. In amazing condition. The quality of this guitar is outstanding,and plays effortlessly with nice low action.  Nice and light and extremely resonant. This PRS is better than most!  Do not confuse this with the more recent Mccarty s2 SERIES THIS IS AN ORIGINAL REAL DEAL PRS and the high quality and feel really does show.It sounds fantastic with killer tone, sustain, very playable neck, and versatile array of tones. The contour of the body is amazing, once you have it in your hands you'll have no regrets! Top is a triple A in near perfect condition showing no player wear. Back and sides are pristine and really show the beauty of the grain. Original owner removed the gold covers from the original McCarty pickups and swapped in an A5 magnet for the neck pickup and a rough cast A5 magnet for the bridge pickup. (McCarty uses A4 in there pickups.) This helped to tighten the bass, define the highs and lessen the low midrange some, especially on the neck pickup. Highs are retained when rolling down the volume and the tone control is more responsive. Split positions are more usable. The factory McCarty humbuckers were zebra coil so he just left the covers off. Lastly he changed the wiring to the Post 2007 configuration (see wiring diagrams on the PRS website for more details) with the resistors on the push-pull pot to lessen the sense of volume loss in single coil mode. No disappointments here. Comes in the original hard shell case.
