This is a beautiful 4/4 unlabeled violin with a gold inlaid cross on the tail piece. It is a copy of Antonio Stradivarius and I believe it to be made in Japan around 1905 to 1910. It was found in an estate sale in Oklahoma. It has a dark finish with a spruce top and 2 piece maple back and ribs. It has been professionally setup and is in excellent condition. I did very little touchup but I did revarnish it. It has synthetic core strings making this violin have a wonderful tone. It comes with a foam packed student quality case with bow, rosin and cleaning cloth. This violin has been stored in a smoke-free and pet-free environment.
This is an amazing violin. It shows the professional craftsmanship from that era of Japan violin makers. If you are looking for a vintage violin with a wonderful sound, this is the one! If you would like to hear it played, message me your cell number and I'll text a short video.
