Description
Just in is this great 1964 Gretsch 6118 Double Anniversary that has been refinished and modified into this beauty you see now!
The guitar had the face and back finished in an aged Turquoise and the sides and neck in a while silver finish. When the guitar was refinished, the binding was also replaced, so you won’t have to worry about doing that down the road. There were also three extra toggle switch holes that were plugged on the face of the guitar.
The guitar is free of any neck breaks or repairs
The Original Serial number is covered from the refin so we don't know the exact#
The pickguard has small cracks around the screw holes and was repainted years ago.
The Bigsby is a vintage unit.
The pickups and electronics have all been replaced. The Bridge pickup is a vintage DiMarzio Super Clean Humbucker. The neck is a Seymour Duncan 59 Neck Pickup.
The Sustain Chapel built an entirely new harness for this guitar. That includes a 1 Meg master volume (with treble bleed), 3-way toggle switch, Gretsch “mud Switch”, 4x 500K audio Taper pots for your typical dual volume/tone config. With a new output jack. Needless to say, this guitar has all the tone you could want!
The neck is very comfortable and smooth to play on. The guitar has been set up and had the frets leveled and dressed to a 14” Radius.
It is very easy to play with low action and every note rings loud and clear
The tuners are vintage Grovers.
Will be shipped in its original case which has been re-lined
