1984 G&L Interceptor Bass
One of the rarest basses that G&L offered in their early days, even rarer with a maple fretboard!
Features two MDF humbuckers that are wired to an early version of their tri tone preamp. The controls are volume, cut only treble and bass and switches for pickup selection, series/parallel, and preamp on and off. Lots of tonal options!
Black power coated G&L hardware. One of the tuners was replaced with a Fender branded Hipshot xtender.
It has its share of dings and finish checking. The lacquer they were using then is prone to it. A previous owner put spider stickers on the headstock which the lacquer reacted to. There is also some play wear that appears to be filled in with a marker.
