Hello, I'm the original owner of this 1995ish G&L S500. I wanted a G&L Strat type guitar but I wanted humbuckers. The original pickups were too noisy for me. I swapped out the pickups for a Seymore JB junior neck and a Dimarzio Tone Zone DP155 bridge. I also installed a series\parallel toggle for each pickup. I wanted the volume knob moved to facilitate picking hand freedom and also had the switch positioned so I could have total access to the volume knob( pls see pics.) The bridge humbucker uses the push/pull tone knob to activate the parallel circuit for it. Parallel is better imo than single coil as there's no noise and it sounds a lot like a tele in those positions. This guitar only has light surface scratches and no dents or dings anywhere. I changed the nut to Earvana. It has original Sperzel locking tuners but I did upgrade the string tree to a roller tree. This is a beautiful USA S500 as you can see in the picks. It has slight fret ware (pls see picks). I realized many years after seeing Umphres McGee, that I had built Jake's guitar to some degree. Hope you enjoy it. Comes with original hard case which is working but has some damage where one of the feet was. Please see pics. I'll split shipping with you. 60.00. I uploaded some more pics by request. pls let me know if you need more pics. If you're looking for an S500 like Jake's this may be it. Thanks for looking
