Updated Electronics
Original pickups and pots were breaking up and outdated, so they were replaced with Custom DiMarzio electronics, Area Strat Replacement Pickguard Set.
The Area Strat Replacement Pickguard and electronics has been installed. (Model # FG2108WA4)
The Area 58 replacement contains an Area 58 pickup on the neck which offers an excellent treble response and dynamics with low magnet pull and the warm woody tone of the late 50’s single coils.
In the middle position, the Area 67 pushes sound like the single coil pickups of the late 60’s, very bright and clean with reduced magnet pull for improved sustain, clarity and quack in the 2 and 4 positions.
Finally, the Area 61 pickup in the bridge position brings a steely but warm sound to the table as with the other two pickups, the 61 also eliminates hum and features reduced magnet pull.
These three pickups mounted in a replacement pickguard with new switching and pots create an undeniably vintage tone.
