All woods selected for the C.L.F. Research series are hand-chosen for both visual beauty and tonal performance. Built in Fullerton, California, these instruments combine precise CNC production, refined hand craftsmanship, and some of Leo Fender’s most notable hardware and electronic innovations.
The G&L C.L.F. Research S-500 is a USA-made S-style guitar built for players who want classic single-coil character with expanded tonal flexibility and modern performance. Its Leo Fender-designed MFD single-coil pickups, Dual-Fulcrum vibrato, and PTB system give it a distinctive voice and a wider range of usable sounds than a traditional S-style design.
