The 1969 Marshall Major is a legendary, ultra-loud 200-watt tube amp head, often dubbed the "Marshall 200". Produced between 1967–1974, the '69 model is iconic for its immense headroom, punchy sound, and use by Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple), John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Jimmy Page, and Mick Ronson and others. It typically features four KT88 power tubes and is known for being a powerful, versatile, and rare vintage collector's item.
The Marshall Major was created in response to requests for higher-powered amplifiers. They are highly sought after for their "loud and clean" sonic characteristics.
