Up for sale is this very rare late 19 century, made in France, Buffet Crampon LP clarinet with articulated keys. It is made from grenadillia wood. The serial number of 12 is stamped onto the upper and lower joints (see photos). The clarinet was completely disassembled and cleaned. All of the wood pieces were hydrated then treated with boar oil inside and out. All of the metal keys, posts, tenon rings and bell ring were machine and hand polished to a high luster. All of the pads were replaced. The tenon and key corks have all been replaced. It was then reassembled and tested. All of the key joints were oiled and depress and rebound without restriction. One of the pins holding a key under the trill keys is missing and is being held in place with a iron wire. It will most likely need to be further adjusted to make it fully playable to your skill level. The bell appears to not be part of the original clarinet. Please bid accordingly. Included with the clarinet is a hard rubber mouthpiece, ligature, cap and a sturdy case.
