For sale is a 2025 Giussani Guitars “MESSALA” concert classical guitar, handcrafted by Jacopo Giussani in Anghiari (Arezzo), Tuscany, Italy — the renowned Giussani workshop operated alongside his father Gioachino Giussani, whose instruments are used by professional soloists worldwide and are carried by Guitar Salon International and other leading dealers.

This guitar was commissioned directly from the workshop and delivered in fall 2025. It has been lightly played and is in near-mint condition. It comes with the original Marco Magi Italy hard-shell case, one of the finest guitar cases made in Italy.

Tonewoods & Construction

•       Top: Western Red Cedar — fine, even grain; warm, responsive, with excellent projection

•       Back & Sides: Indian Rosewood — rich figure and sustain

•       Fingerboard & Bridge: Ebony — with decorative spalted-wood inlay on the bridge

•       Rosette: Intricate multi-layer mosaic — a hallmark of the Giussani aesthetic

Sound Character

Cedar-top Giussani guitars are known for their immediacy of response, warm midrange, and singing trebles — ideal for the romantic and modern repertoire. The Indian rosewood body adds depth and sustain. This guitar has the clarity and balance expected of a concert-level instrument.

Why Selling

I commissioned this guitar based on a recommendation and it is a genuinely exceptional instrument. Ultimately, after extended play it does not suit my personal tonal preferences — this is purely a matter of taste, not quality. The guitar is objectively well-built and plays beautifully. It deserves a home with a player who will love it.
