Sandblasted for a one-of-a-kind finish

The alluringly unusual finish treatment on this Sweetwater-exclusive American Special Sandblasted Telecaster is sure to garner many jealous glances. After Fender applied a transparent finish to this guitar's ash body, it was sandblasted, leaving its surface grain pattern textured with parallel ruts and grooves. Its black grain-filler coat was then visible beneath the color finish coat, creating a one-of-a-kind surface topography — no two sandblasted instruments are alike. Beautifully complemented by a black (or mint) pickguard, this Tele is an exquisite instrument.

These overwound pups are built with Alnico V magnets and enamel-coated magnet wire. The bridge pickup features height-staggered magnets and a copper-plated steel bottom plate for increased output, presence, and midrange, while the nickel-silver cover on the neck pickup produces a clear, warm tone that only a true Tele pickup can do.
