1965 Gibson B-25 Natural acoustic guitar, made in the USA in Kalamazoo, Michigan and part of Gibson’s classic mid-1960s small-body lineup. This model is known for its warm, balanced tone, strong midrange presence, and comfortable feel, making it ideal for both fingerstyle playing and light strumming.
The guitar features a solid spruce top in a natural finish that has aged into a rich honeyed amber tone, showcasing tight, even grain with excellent depth and clarity. This is paired with mahogany back, sides, and neck finished in a deep reddish-brown hue, creating a striking contrast and a classic vintage Gibson appearance. The rosewood fingerboard, original Gibson headstock logo, tortoise-style pickguard, and adjustable bridge are all consistent with the model and period. The interior label marked “B-25 Natural” remains present and clearly visible.
Built with Gibson’s traditional short scale length of approximately 24 3/4 inches, the guitar offers a comfortable playing experience with a smooth, responsive feel. The nut width is approximately 1 11/16 inches, typical for this era, though slight variation can occur within 1965 production. The body measures approximately 14 1/4 inches across the lower bout with an overall body depth of about 4 1/2 inches, placing it in the small-body concert category. The guitar has 20 frets and is configured as a 6-string steel-string acoustic.
A very clean and well-preserved example of a vintage Gibson B-25 that presents beautifully and reflects careful ownership over time. No case included.
Condition:
This guitar is in excellent vintage condition with normal, light signs of use consistent with age. The finish remains glossy with strong clarity to the wood grain across both the spruce top and mahogany body, and the instrument presents very clean overall.
There are light surface pick marks visible on the pickguard from normal strumming, noticeable primarily under direct light, which is typical for a guitar of this age. These do not affect the structure or overall presentation. The body, neck, and headstock are structurally sound, and the back and sides retain a deep, rich finish with a well-kept appearance. Hardware and tuning machines are intact and functioning properly. A well-maintained vintage Gibson that shows careful use and excellent preservation.
