Will probably regret selling this one day.
Great example of a Harmony H54 Rocket manufactured in 1962. If you’re looking at this listing I assume you already know what this guitar does. It is all original with the exception of (i) a new pickguard (ii) a new maple bridge custom made by my luthier (iii) a new rosewood riser for the neck pickup. All of the original parts are included (shown in pictures near the end) and it comes with the original case as well.
I’ve had this guitar for 5 years now and in addition to the swaps mentioned earlier, I had my luthier heat press it as the neck was bowed when I purchased it. It’s a common issue with these guitars and the action is currently quite low (strung with 10s). At around the 15th fret on the 4th string, it does get quite buzzy, but raising the bridge height hugely ameliorates this.
This is my third and most clean example of a Harmony guitar that I’ve owned. The gold foil pickups are iconic and plugged into a low-wattage amp (champ) I find records unbelievably well.
