I'm selling my 1990 Ovation 1868 Elite acoustic / electric guitar super shallow bowl. Spruce top with a Mahagony / Maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
The guitar is in very good overall condition especially for a 26-year-old instrument. There are two finish checks on the body of the guitar that are visible on the close-up pictures just off the fretboard. It has a straight, fast neck with low action, making it comfortable to play. I realize that guitar necks and action are personal to each of us. The frets are in good shape.
The guitar plays and sounds great. It is fairly loud acoustically and really shines when plugged into an amp or PA. It currently has Ernie Ball Earthwood strings. The guitar features an OP-24 preamp and 3 band EQ. The electronics work perfectly.
This is a tried-and-true workhorse and is beautifully and uniquely designed. I love the intricate woodwork and gorgeous honey color of the top.
Comes with an Ovation 8117K case.
