Built in 2002 in Kani, Gifu, Japan, this YC-60 comes from the workshop of master luthier Kazuo Yairi, whose instruments are prized for their consistency, refinement, and musical warmth.

This model features a solid spruce top paired with rosewood back and sides—a classic tonewood combination that delivers a voice that is balanced, articulate, and expressive. The bass response is deep and supportive, the trebles are clear and singing, and the harmonic overtones gently bloom as notes sustain. It’s an instrument that rewards nuance and touch, equally suited for classical repertoire, fingerstyle, and expressive solo playing.

The gloss finish highlights the grain of the woods beautifully, and the traditional slotted headstock, rosewood fingerboard, and clean appointments give the guitar an understated elegance consistent with Yairi’s aesthetic.
