A vintage Gibson always resonates with our fellows, and this Les Paul Deluxe is no different! We were practically blown away by the sound of this guitar; it sounds so good!

This 1980 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe is from the brand's Norlin era, which lasted from 1969 to 1986. It left the Gibson factory in Nashville on February 3, 1980, and was the seventh guitar completed that day. The Les Paul Deluxe came from the factory with mini humbuckers, but there was also a Les Paul Pro Deluxe equipped with P90 pickups. However, the truss rod cover of that model was stamped "Pro," whereas on this example, the word "Deluxe" can be read. Therefore, we don't know for sure whether the guitar was built in this form by Gibson or modified later, but it's certainly possible!

The pickups are two Gibson P90 pickups with transparent bobbins; the bottom of the neck pickup is stamped "JAN 6 1979," while the bridge pickup is only stamped "1979." The CTS volume controls are from 1980, and the CTS tone controls are from 1979. This Les Paul also features a mini-switch that reverses the phase of the neck pickup, creating that characteristic nasal and slightly thinner sound in the middle position; very useful in the right musical context, and adding even more versatility to this guitar!

This Les Paul is also a true player, as the playwear on the body and neck shows that it has seen considerable use. Nevertheless, the guitar has been well-maintained, as it plays perfectly, is stable, and sounds fantastic. The tuners were replaced with Grover Rotomatics at some point, making this Les Paul a stable guitar that you can easily take on stage and steal the show!

Comes with a TFOA passport in an original Gibson Chainsaw case.
