Mint condition, never used 2008 Danelectro ‘Dead on ‘67’ Hornet — in the notoriously hard-to-find baritone orientation, with desirable factory black finish. These are quickly becoming very collectible guitars, in part due to their natural rarity (only produced 2008-2009), and in part because people are finally realizing Danelectro baritones are the absolute best.
I acquired this unused, rare axe from an elderly man whose close friend purchased the abandoned Danelectro company name decades ago — and eventually sold the company name to new owners, with the agreement that he get a cut of the Danelectro sales, and that he receive ten (10) brand new models each time they release a new model. I believe he received two NOS baritones among the 10x Dead On ‘67’s he received.
The guitar is quite literally untouched. I plugged it in, the knobs work, the pickups sound great — and then I immediately put it away because there is zero wear on the guitar. If there is any clouding or microscopic marks on the metal control plate, it came that way straight from the factory. This guitar is dead mint, new old stock. This may be the only truly mint Hornet baritone out there.
I will be shipping this exceedingly rare piece fully insured, packed with utmost care, and loaded in an additional guitar box. This cheap cardboard box is, in fact, the original box the guitar came in. It also comes with the original unused allen wrench. Please reach out with any questions you may have. Thanks!
