Three Buffet Crampon Albert System Clarinets from the Late 1880's or early 1900's

Here is an interesting set of Albert System clarinets. Two of them were made by Buffet in Paris, the other by Carl Fisher in New York. They were owned by Evelyn Levi Thorpe who lived from 1884 to 1925. During the Civil War he fought in Company K, 2nd Regiment CT Heavy Artillery. His lifelong occupations were blacksmith and working as an accomplished clarinetist.

The first photo shows a handmade wooden box that holds all three of the clarinets, standing upright in two sections. The box needs a bit of repair work but it's fine for holding them. The following photos show the three clarinets from different aspects. All of them are made from grenadilla wood and nickel silver. The wood is very dry and needs to be soaked in oil. All of the pads are very dry or missing. The keys will need polishing to show a bright silver. As the photos show, they are in different sizes. I assume that one of them is in A and another in Bb. Not sure what key the tiny one is. Included in the sale are four mouthpieces, three ligatures and two caps,

I have tried to show all of the items and described the condition they are in. As such there is no return policy for this product.
