The Wampler Sovereign Distortion V2 delivers versatile distortion from responsive crunch to thick, powerful leads. It features an Advanced Gain Structure section with Gain knob, Even/Bright toggle switch, and Standard/Boost toggle switch for dialing in crunch or saturated tones. The Mid Behavior knob shifts from aggressive mids to creamy response, paired with Volume and Tone controls for overall shaping.
True bypass keeps your signal clean when off. The V2 updates include relay switching and top-mounted jacks for easier pedalboard integration. Runs clean on 9V but takes 18V for more headroom if you push it.
Controls are straightforward: start Mid Behavior and Tone at noon, then tweak the gain structure. Covers classic OD to modern dirt without gimmicks, just organic amp-like response.
