Burns Baldwin 1968 Model 706B Orange

1968 Burns Baldwin Model 706B. Guitar is in Excellent condition. Neck is straight and the action is low. Electronics work as intended. Serial # 1513. Comes with what i believe to be the original case.

These guitar were made from 1967 - 1970. The main parts were made in Italy and assembled at the Baldwin factory in Fayetteville, Arkansas. A Burns neck was added at the US factory with the signature scroll-top headstock. It's possible other components were made by Burns or Baldwin directly but this appears to be largely Italian made parts including the pick-ups. The pickups are "Bar Type" humbuckers with adjustable screw poles and a Baldwin logo stamped on them. It has an adjustable roller bridge. 

TUNERS:
Closed-back, all metal tuners in very good working condition. 

NECK:

The fully bound neck is in extremely good shape with 23 frets including a zero-fret. The fingerboard is rosewood and has mother of pearl inlays with dot markers on the side binding.

PICKUPS:

Two humbucking pickups are medium strength individually but sound loudest together. There's one tone and volume control for each pickup with a toggle switch to select neck, bridge or both together. The neck pickup is smooth and jazzy sounding. The bridge pickup is mildly twangy with more of country twang tone.
