With a powerful DSP chip and BOSS's proprietary MDP technology, this new DS-1 boasts response and resolution that defies conventional distortion standards. Even at high-gain settings, each note is clearly audible, resulting in well-separated chords without muddy bass. Furthermore, it achieves ultra-low noise. Compared to the DS-1's single-tone specification, the addition of a 2-band equalizer ("HIGH" and "LOW") allows for a wider range of sound shaping.
