The guitar

This is a super loud one. Even as collector a super resonator that's also aged in is hard to let go, it's absurdly loud. (See video)

Unplugged, it’s freakishly resonant on par with a hollow body loud, by far the loudest of any Les Pauls I’ve played. You feel it right away. That’s why it stayed with me for nearly 20 years and picked up the nickname “Loud Paul.”

It has that dry, responsive feel people chase in older Gibsons, but without the quirks, dependable, stays in tune, plays clean, fast, easy to live with, hard to put down.

Condition

Very clean overall. Small dings, shallow buckle rash, consistent with age, nothing structural.

Photos were taken under bright/6500k lighting to exaggerate everything. dry wiped, no polish, shown as-is. would clean up well.

Light, smooth nitro checking in the finish (visible in certain light). Not cracks, just normal aging as the wood settles and dries.

Specs

Heritage cherry burst plain top with subtle figuring.

Neck is a fast slim taper to med C, not a baseball bat.

Weight is right around ~9.3 lbs on my scale (bathroom scale, so give or take).

All original except upgraded Gotoh tuners (solid, stable, no issues).

Neck is straight, joints are tight, No repairs, No surprises.

Pups: 490R (Neck) and 498T (Bridge) Humbuckers.

Era: 1990's Gibson Renaissance, Nashville production. (Pre-regulation old growth mahogany)

Ownership

Two owners (myself and my brother), never gigged, low miles, always cared for.

Bottom line

There are a lot of 90’s Les Pauls, This is one of the resonant ones, fully settled, Locked in.

If you know, you know.
