This is a really beautiful 2017 Gibson Traditional Pro Plus Top. All original and in excellent condition with very little surface scratching. Plays exceptional, very comfortable 50s style neck. All electronics function perfectly. There is nothing that disappoints with this one.

Gibson is calling out a 60s neck on this model, but it’s a nice 50s neck in my opinion. It’s not a baseball bat, but it ain’t thin. It’s real nice to me.

Beautiful construction

The mahogany and figured maple tonewood combination that the Les Paul started is so groundbreaking that there are very few luthiers that don't utilize this pairing in their own solidbody designs. The Les Paul Traditional Pro Plus uses this combination to great affect. While the mahogany back offers a warm and midrange-focused sound, the guitar's beautiful figured, carved maple top enhances sustain while injecting each note with added clarity, not to mention making the guitar one of the most in-demand models at Sweetwater.

Vintage-voiced pickups with a twist

Considering they are the ones who invented the originals, Gibson knows a thing or two about nailing those awe-inducing PAF humbucker tones. Two of their most popular models — a BurstBucker 1 in the neck and a BurstBucker 2 in the bridge — balance amazingly well while delivering familiar clarity and power. And to take things a step further for the demands of modern guitarists, you're able to split the Les Paul Traditional Pro Plus's coils, accessing single-coil-type tones. And to add even more tonal flexibility, Gibson outfitted this LP Traditional Pro Plus with a push/pull Pure Boost.

Fast-feeling neck profile

When Gibson went to their slimmer-profile neck carve in the 1960s, they changed the way electric guitars felt and played. The neck's thinner feel than the original '59 Paul's baseball bat neck allows you to move up and down the fretboard, unencumbered by extra wood. Yet there is still plenty of neck there, remaining extremely comfortable whether chording or playing single-note lead work. And of course, the neck's 1-piece mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard help the guitar sing with one of the most desirable tones in rock 'n' roll history.
