Vintage RARE MIJ Teisco Kingston Model 670 Bass w EZ-Pak Hard Case 1964 Japan - Sunburst

Very early made in Japan Kingston 670 bass, single pickup tele style headstock. very cool looking instrument, comes in it’s originally purchased with the bass EZ-Pak Hard case. Generally this base is in good condition especially for the age. There are some small chips and dings, you have to hunt for them, the most frequent are some odd impressions on the side of the neck near the fretboard as if they’re fret markers but they clearly are not. I don’t know what these are or what caused them. the bass sound pretty good, it’s pretty light weight, 33.5” scale, plays fine although there is relief in the neck and I can’t seem to get the super unique truss rod system to have any particular effect one way or another so maybe I’m doing it wrong or I’m not sure… it seems to operate by removing the back cover and you can access the 10mm bolt with a box end wrench then turn it. It gets tight and loose but the neck doesn’t seem to change much if at all regardless of what you do to that bolt/nut. It’s a pretty innovative access point way better than taking the whole neck off any time you want to adjust, but again maybe you know something I don’t and can have it impact the relief one way or another. the string height is just over 6/64 at 15 and I’m guessing if you can work the truss rod you can get that down a bit. electronics all work as they should, if the bass sits around unused for some time like a couple of months, you’ll get some fuzzies in the pots which will go away with some quick back and forth turns.
