⚡️1960s Hofner Galaxie Filtertron TV Jones Mod ⚡️. One-pickup guitar!!

A few years ago, I bought a Hofner Galaxie to restore. I've restored several before; I like them, but it's clear that the electronics are a complex system and Hofner pickups often don't hold up well over time.
Sure enough, on this one, two out of three pickups needed rewinding, and the switches and other control knobs were faulty.

Of course, it's repairable, but then I had an idea… I love guitars with a single pickup; they're instinctive, responsive, and you don't have to think about it anymore. And I had a Filtertron TV Jones in my stash just waiting for this!
So, I got started: restoring the neck and frets, a new bone nut, and cleaning up the beautiful Hofner tuners. Custom-made vintage-style pickguard, strategically placed TV Jones pickup—not too high, not too low for a good bass/treble balance—and CTS/Switchkraft volume/tone wiring.

The result is a little gem just begging to growl, super easy to play, dynamic, and intuitive, with a rich, warm tone combined with crisp, clear highs—thanks to the Filtertron!
