For sale is a hot rodded, custom Stratocaster style guitar, Stratocaster body shape, with rear control cavity and recessed Floyd bridge route.

I originally started this as my keeper for this year, but I am into this very deep in parts cost, as you can see from just the neck and body. So I’ve set it just over my parts cost, after eBay fees. If someone wants it, I’ll sell it, but if not, it’s mine. I just need to recoup some of the costs I’ve got in my current batch of guitars for sale, so I can finish the rest.

Custom made roasted swamp ash / figured padauk top body, semi gloss top clearcoat. This was a limited run of figured padauk bodies, I grabbed the prettiest one. Normally they are just the reddish color. The finish wraps into the grain in a very cool way.

Because I like really high output pickups, I went with the Seymour Duncan SLUG set with a coil splitting harness and kill switch… Resistance is Bridge – 48k / neck – 22k. I love the crunch and sustain they get with little to no volume, even through headphones. The ash body helps with that too.

To get the most out of them I have a solderless 3 position switching harness with a coil splitting tone control.

Positions are:  

1. Neck humbucker

2. Bridge and neck

3. Bridge humbucker

I also have wired in a gold ‘kill switch’, a momentary push button, perfect for that ‘stutter sound’

I used a Floyd Rose Special gold anodized double locking tremolo with matching R5 nut. Included a magnetic ‘Hexhider’ 3mm allen wrench tool, sticks to the back of the tuners as in picture

A 1.75” wide Warmoth 10-16" compound radius maple neck, with a purpleheart fretboard, pearloid binding, moonglow inlays, with luminlay side dots and Wolfgang profile. It’s really easy to play and I have strung it with a 9-42 slinky set. I have the action set low (just where it doesn't buzz), so you may need to perform a minor adjustment for your playing.

This is designed to be an all around fast playing blues/rock or metal guitar.

As you can see from the photos, this has a great “WOW FACTOR”. It’s very pretty with contrasting hardware/neck/body colors.

I always use elliptical strap pins, that lock in the end of the strap when in standing position.

I am including a padded gig bag, a Walker/Williams leather Texas Skull strap, and some of my shop logo picks in a screw top tin..

I will ship UPS ground insured for the full amount in a heavy duty, guitar specific, box to the lower 48 states, for AK or HI, ask me about shipping. It is just too difficult to estimate these costs ahead of time.

I do this for fun, and to cover the costs to be able donate one or more guitars per year to charity, Guitars for Vets. I would encourage you to donate any 'working' guitars, you do not use, to your local chapter. You can also make small donations on eBay when you make purchases. Helps with veteran suicide prevention.
