This 1970 Barclay, also known as the Harmony 1143, is a birch-bodied, full-size flat-top guitar that, with some big changes, has become a real pro-level instrument.
Please check out the video at the bottom of this listing for a thorough discussion and sound demos
I gave this guitar a custom X-bracing and shifted the back braces. I made a custom rosewood bridge and converted it to a pin bridge guitar. I fabricated and installed a custom bone saddle and nut. It got a neck reset and some fret work, and I installed a Journey Piezo pickup system.
It's a real beauty. It plays easily, sounds amazing, and looks great.
Good Jaquard Strap and cheap gigbag included
