Up for sale is this vintage circa 1969 Grammer G-10 acoustic guitar. Being so close to Nashville, we see quite a few Grammer guitars and we can say, without a doubt, that this is the best sounding example of the brand that we've ever had pass through the shop.

This example is all original with the exception of the unfortunately missing truss rod cover (although this is a great excuse to install one with your name on it, per country music tradition) and the nut. This one is pretty clean otherwise, with the original finish presenting well showing some beautiful checking and some minor dings, scuffs, and scratches. There is some more extensive wear around the soundhole, letting us know that this guitar was very lovingly enjoyed over the years. The Brazilian rosewood back and sides are stunning, showing some beautiful grain.

Our tech has just gone over this one and given it a clean bill of health. The neck set is great and the saddle has plenty of height. It appears that the guitar has been refretted at some point in its life as evidenced by some light chipping around them on the fretboard. The work is professional and the frets show light wear and, although they look to have been leveled at least once, retain plenty of life. The action is low and comfortable all they way up the neck.

What we believe to be the original Victoria hardshell case (it's at least period-correct) is included and fits the guitar well. Of course, as with most vintage cases, there is a little play inside and the instrument will be well-packed inside to ensure safe shipping.

Overall, a nice example of an Ampeg-era Grammer that's had a great first act and is ready for the next stage. On top of the fact that it's such a good sounding and playing instrument, it's also an affordable way to get into a real-deal vintage, Brazilian rosewood dreadnought acoustic guitar. Don't miss out, most of them are nowhere near this nice...
