NOW, HERE'S AN ITEM YOU WON'T FIND ON AMAZON OR AT WAL MART!
Up for grabs is this crazy old medium/large metal horn. I'm 95% certain this was a Jensen product, as I have seen a few of these , used in military applications from WWII and Korea.
I DO have the HUGE AlNiCo magnet 6.5" speaker that came in it if interested.
Anyhow, I went ahead and restored this, and made it usable for some sort of either a guitar special effects speaker, for a shop speaker, communications, display, as a guitar speaker for that " horn sound" like a megaphone, or even as a crazy harp speaker.
It was shot with that "Hammer-Ite" paint, and I trimmed it with that cool looking copper trim.
It has 2 screw eyes to suspend it ( or mount it), and then I SOLDERED on contacts, which are either bare wire terminals, wired in parallel with a regular 1/4" female input jack.
Pretty much any regular 6/ 6.5" speaker will bolt right in.If needed, I have guitar speakers, automotive speakers, coaxial or bass speakers that I can supply you with.
I just thought it'd be interesting to put on top of your rig with an L-pad , dedicated amplifier, or volume control to be able to " Dial-It-In" as far as volume, and give you a MECHANICAL effect instead of some processed machine noise..
Dimensions are accurate, but " As-measured"....
Metal horn 15.5 "O.D.
Total length 15.5"
10" main piece depth
6" compression chamber depth
7.25" max inside speaker diameter, but 6/6.5" bolt pattern.
It's a weird one, so if you have questions- just ask.
