My ‘82 Mockingbird.
I’m the second owner. I bought it in mint condition from a gentleman in Southern California in 1996 who had it stored in a closet; then it became my main working guitar.
All hardware is all original factory (save PAFs & chrome O-rings) and all is mechanically sound.
This guitar is a fire survivor. In 2007 it was rescued from my burning home. The headstock was singed (see photo) and the electronics plates got warped (see photo). It was immediately thereafter taken apart and meticulously/professionally cleaned up by Darren Riley Guitars in Raleigh NC. No structural damage. No lasting odor. Didn’t affect playability.
Pickups are Lindy Fralin. All the original spaghetti wiring (coil taps, phase, varitone, pre-amp etc.) is still intact, undamaged and inside. Right now it's all by-passed and wired like an explorer.
In the 90's through early 2000's I toured US/Europe w/ this guitar so it's road/stage-worn. The back of the body has a bullet belt rash. I painted side fret marker 'dots' w/ black enamel on the top left of neck.
Ships in case shown in pics.
