The Shuriken Variax SR270 combines a 27" baritone scale length with Line 6's Variax HD modeling technology, giving instant access to dozens of guitar models and alternate tunings with the twist of a knob. Optimized for lower tunings with tight, punchy response.

Tone & Character
The bridge humbucker delivers tight clarity and medium-output punch for high-gain tones without getting muddy. The Variax HD system gives instant access to modeled versions of classic electric guitars, acoustics, and exotic instruments, plus alternate tunings on the fly. Pairs with Line 6 Helix, POD HD, or Firehawk modelers for full integration, including preset changes that switch tunings, amp models, and effects simultaneously. Custom instruments and tunings can be designed using the free Workbench HD software.

The SR270 is a premium color variant in Trans Black Burst, produced in limited quantities. The 27" baritone scale provides optimized playability for lower tunings, and the Variax HD system lets you go far beyond the range of any standard 6, 7, or even 8-string guitar without changing instruments. Developed in collaboration with Steve MacKay of Twelve Foot Ninja and built by Yamaha Guitar Development in Korea.
Condition (more details)
Essentially unplayed, mint condition. The Trans Black Burst finish shows no wear, scratches, or dings. The ebony fingerboard and frets show zero play wear. All hardware and Variax electronics function properly. Neck is straight. Comes with the original Shuriken premium padded gig bag.
