For those attracted to the iconic shimmer and chime of Rickenbacker 12-strings but can't get around on their skinny necks here is the 1993 Plus, an update of Pete Townshend's Model 1993 formerly exclusive to the British distributor Rose Morris in the 1960's. This 1993 Plus is enhanced with a 1/8 (3.1mm) wider neck, Caribbean Rosewood fingerboard and more stable two-piece neck design. Three vintage reissue toaster pickups, vintage knobs, f-hole, and trapeze tailpiece (much better than the R tailpiece on contemporary Ricks. Also included is a set of new Rick strings, polishing cloth and all case candy. I have owned and played vintage and modern Rickenbacker 12-strings since the Beatles were on Ed Sullivan and this 1993 Plus with the wider fatter neck sounds and plays great.
