Yamahas with the Dove logo were produced between 1985-86 before they switched to the current leaf.

Top- Spruce

Back/sides- Toog

Neck-Nato

Fretboard- Ovangkol

Bridge - Indian Rosewood

I replaced the old noisy Yamaha system 5 preamp for a modern system 55t but it’s expertly installed based off of measurements and placement from my other Yamaha acoustic.

Structurally it’s in near perfect condition. I repaired a small amount of heel separation with wood filler and glue but it was less than 2mm.

The neck is straight and the frets are in good shape for a 40yo instrument. The truss rod still has life in it and there is no bridge or binding separation anywhere.

There’s no buzz and the action at the 12th fret is 3mm at the 6th string and 2.5mm at the 1st string. I also installed a Zer0 Glide zero-fret nut.

I replaced the old stiff pot metal tuning machines with modern ones off a mid 2000s Yamaha so there are open screw holes but I do still have the old tuners if you’d like.

Cosmetically there finish checks, one marr on front behind the bridge, and headstock dings but nothing too noticeable.

I’m also including a nearly brand new hardshell case with keys and working lock.
