For your vintage-rockin' pleasure, we present this upgraded 1982 Yamaha SG-1000 in Cherry Sunburst. They called these guitars the "Les Paul Killer" for a reason. Crafted in the prestigious Yamaha Music Craft workshop in Hamamatsu, Japan, this SG-1000 absolutely punches at a higher level than the Gibsons of the late-70s/early-80s. The Yamaha SG-1000 features an "egg-shaped" neck profile, which is thicker on the 6th string side and thinner on the 1st string side, providing a comfortable and unique playing feel. The original Yamaha humbuckers have been replaced with 1982 Gibson Tim Shaw Humbuckers. These humbuckers are worth $400 a piece. Now, this is a 44-year-old instrument, and it has some scratches, dings, and buckle rash on the back, but it plays perfectly, has a straight neck with no damage or repairs, and it feels and sounds absolutely amazing. It feels like a luxurious guitar in your hands when you're playing it and weight-wise, it's like playing a Les Paul. I replaced the Factory strap buttons with Fender Infinity Locks, but I will ship the originals with the guitar. I pack every shipment really tightly and nicely to make it safe for the road. I'm having doubts about selling this unique ax even as I type this.
