Up for sale is a Gibson Custom 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue Electric Guitar - Slow Iced Tea Fade, Murphy Lab Heavy Aged.
Condition:
This guitar has seen little to no actual play time and presents essentially as it left the Murphy Lab. All wear is factory-applied aging only—no additional play wear, no modifications, no issues.
Frets, hardware, and electronics are all in excellent, as-issued condition.
Details:
Murphy Lab Heavy Aged
- Finish: Slow Iced Tea Fade
- Serial: 952632
- Weight: 8 lbs 9 oz (ideal R9 range)
- Original COA included
- Original Lifton-style case (brown/pink interior)
- No breaks, repairs, or mods
Top / Aesthetic:
Very vintage-correct tight flame top—leans more toward real late-’50s character than wide modern figuring. Subtle, consistent, and looks great in person.
Tone / Feel:
At 8 lbs 9 oz, it strikes a great balance—resonant, lively, and substantial without being heavy. Strong fundamental, nice bloom, and that broken-in response you want from a good R9.
Why this one:
Clean Murphy Lab examples that haven’t picked up additional real-world wear are getting harder to find. This one presents as a well-preserved, as-issued piece in a very desirable weight range.
