Amazingly CLEAN Top of the line Paiste Traditional Medium Light 14” Hihats that are getting increasingly harder to find these days. Especially where you can actually HEAR THEM first.
Incredible Paistes. Not clanky. Exceptionally smooth and dark!

Top cymbal is fully lathed and golden warm while the bottom cymbal is raw, unlathed and looks like the moon!!
Paiste describes their flagship series as:
"Dark, dry, woody. Fairly wide range, complex mix. Soft, responsive feel. Full, warm, open sound. Loose, soggy chick sound. Perfectly suited for traditional swing patterns, but also well usable for other acoustic styles like Blues, Country, Soul or Gospel.”
As far as 14s” go, these are pretty damn dark sounding cymbals but still possess that inimitable paiste clean and crisp tone - the tone their famous for.
Aged, softer, mellower, played in feel but they look perfect. These Traditionals chill and hit their stride over time. Brand new Paiste cymbals can sound harsh. Not these.
Dark, low-pitched, mellow, very warm. Fantastic chick tone.
934 and 1212 grams yield a fantastic chick still with that inimitable clean Paiste tone.
The now renowned Traditional Series was a foray into Paiste's dark tones and these hats are some of the finest I’ve heard.
Great at lower volumes but surprisingly capable at medium loud settings too.
Perfect shape. No issues. Don’t spend $800 on a guess at tone. Listen to this exact pair and actually save money. They’re gorgeous.
