1978 Ibanez GB10 George Benson signature hollowbody, Made in Japan. Serial C788873. This is the rare 21-fret early specification — Ibanez changed to a 22-fret neck in early 1979, making this a genuine first-generation GB10 build. Brown sunburst finish with black pickguard, correct for the era.

Laminated spruce top, maple back and sides, three-piece maple neck, ebony fingerboard with pearl and abalone split block inlays and "George Benson" fretboard inlay. Dual floating GB mini-humbucking pickups, individual volume and tone controls, 3-way toggle. Gold hardware throughout including the signature trapeze tailpiece. All original electronics and hardware, fully functional.

Condition: Good player grade. The guitar plays and sounds as it should — warm, woody, and articulate. Hardware shows natural age-related patina consistent with a nearly 50-year-old instrument. Binding has deterioration in several areas, most notably at the neck heel and upper bout. Binding has been stabilized and sealed by a previous owner and is no longer actively crumbling or shedding — cosmetic cracking and shrinkage remains visible in those areas.
