This guitar is in overall excellent condition. The neck is straight and the frets show minimal wear. The electronics function properly and quietly. There are some very light scratches on the top and back of the body. The top has a small ding on the upper horn. There are a couple small dings on the back of the body toward the lower left corner. There are a few scuffs around the belly cut. The case has some cat scratches on the tolex. Please reference the photos for physical condition, as they are part of the item description.

Based on Chapman's ML3 Pro set-neck body style, the Modern carries the same graceful lines, with Sea smooth "tummy cut" in the mahogany body and a gorgeously arched top. Chapman's Obsidian Burst finish on a maple top sets the tone for this guitar's rock edge and Chapman, already known for their finishes, was glad to comply. Aesthetically, the coverless black pickups and contrasting binding combine with the milled bridge and brass saddles to make a bold, modern statement.
The 24-fret roasted maple neck and fingerboard feature Chapman's smooth, fast profile and rolled-edge binding for a seamless playing experience. The signature Chapman "Infinity" inlay at the 12th fret brings an extra touch of class, and the "spoon-cut" neck joint eases upper fret access. As an added touch of modern convenience, the glow-in-the-dark, Luminlay side dot markers make for ease of use in tricky stage lighting.
Loaded with custom-wound Chapman high-output humbucking pickups, the guitar is designed for heavier rock. It can easily go from a whisper to a full-throated scream, from subtlety to aggression. Plus, expect great tuning stability from the Hipshot GripLock tuners and solid, 6-saddle, thru-body-strung, hardtail bridge.
