The HORIZON is one of ESP’s most popular and longest-running models, known for its classic combination of a mahogany body and maple neck, delivering refined tone and outstanding stability for both studio work and live performance.
This E-II HORIZON FR-II STBKSB is built by expert luthiers at ESP’s Tokyo factory, where strict quality control is applied to every aspect of construction, finish, and assembly. Combined with ESP’s extensive design experience, this results in an instrument with impressive playability and premium craftsmanship.
The E-II HORIZON FR-II STBKSB offers a wide tonal range. Its mahogany body with quilted maple top provides rich low-mid presence along with clear, articulate highs. The 3-piece maple neck, ebony fingerboard, extra-jumbo frets, and Thin U neck profile make it especially well suited for fast and precise playing.
Hardware includes ESP strap locks, Gotoh locking tuners, and a reliable Floyd Rose Original tremolo system. It is equipped with EMG 66TW and EMG 57TW active pickups, giving the guitar a tight, aggressive tone with added versatility through coil-splitting functions.
Visually, the See Thru Black Sunburst finish highlights the figured top in a subtle and refined way, with a matching headstock and brushed black chrome EMG covers completing the look. The overall appearance is understated yet luxurious.
