This Pedulla Thunderbolt was an early version of the Thunderbolts made for the Guitar Center Era Thunderbolt series. The Thunderbass debut was sometime in 1992. The ThunderBolts are listed as having a 1994 debut. We believe the serials on the early Thunderbolts list in 1992 - 1993 because they were made in preparation for the Guitar Center contract with Pedulla and were then released in 1994 officially.

This instrument has one very unique and rare feature concerning the Electronics Plate. Normally in this era the Electronics Plates have a printout "bar" sticker that describes the make and model of that specific bass on the electronics side of the plate. This one does not. It has a signature from Michael Pedulla himself and it's also dated. Because of the date...we believe this first wave neck and bass did not leave the Pedulla shop until 1995.

Additionally, the case is in great condition. It is a "Serious Bass" era case...and this specific case was meant for the ThunderBass and ThunderBolt series as it form fits the bodies and was intended for Guitar Center basses.

This specific case was sold along with this bass as part of the Guitar Center Contract. We know this because inside this case...we found a full page original bass care printout from Pedulla for Guitar Center specifically (that we have put in a proper cardboard backing with resealable plastic sleeve). Along with this, we found the instruction laminate to the employees themselves that instructs what basses go with these cases..and this laminate came from Pedulla themselves. This laminate also has the Pedulla contact information on the bottom. These laminates were intended to be reused...but for some reason ended up in this case.

In addition to this..the case came with its mint condition Guitar Center hang tag.

Also included is the entire Pedulla (for Guitar Center) promotional and care package. Included is the instruments instruction manual, proprietary Truss adjustment tool, Allen wrench, case key and Pedulla clothing merchandise insert with all options on the back. Everything in fully mint condition.

The bass itself has some buckle denting on the back which we've succeeded in photographing well. It also has 4 areas with denting or light chips...but for a 33 year old instrument that was actually played...it's doing very well.

This bass has the "Thunderguts" switch and volume, tone, tone configuration. This particular bass is one of the best..if not the best sounding 4 string fretted basses I've personally ever heard. It's resonance is really unbelievable.

Overall this package has some very rare collectables in the world of Pedulla...and the bass is absolutely outstanding itself.
