Up for grabs are these two 10" Hartke/ HEMPOPOTAMUS LOUDspeakers hybrids.

So, these were completely re-fabricated at PMR in Ohio with all new OEM/ AMERICAN made components.There are NO after market, replacement, Import crap or chyna junk in these but ONLY AMERICAN!

These two were stripped down to bare metal, and then- they were hot rodded as the rebuilds occurred.

I'll work from the inside out, as the order of components assembly occurs.

The voice coils were upgraded from the plastic Kaptron to ALUMINUM former voice coils, and they are radially vented to help the windings breathe and keep cooler under higher power applications. Each is 8 Ohms, and I'd still say 150 watts just to be safe.

There's nothing too exciting about the spider assemblies. They are a high compliance treated textile with a cupped profile and allow plenty of excursion for those lower notes, yet keep the moving mass under control..

The litz wires are the PMR PURE COPPER Litz wires! They are .050" diameter, and are MUCH better at presenting a non altered signal to the voice coil as compared to the usual pot metal "Industry Standard" silver/gray stuff, which does nothing but smudge and smear the signal..

That brings us two the star of the show...

The cones are the "Hempopotamus" (Ltd/TM) formulation hemp fiber cones. I'll take a second, and let you guys in on a good bit of info that usually isn't told---

....These are NOT the "other" formulation made by Tone Tubby, and another little note- ANY OTHER hemp speaker cone out there is nothing but a cloned and private licensed Tone Tubby cone in a different frame...There's only TWO hemp companies out there.. Tone Tubby and Hempopotamus.So, ALL of the other guitar speaker companies are basically using a Tone Tubby cone in THEIR frames and giving it their own name... It's all licensed and they all sound the same....And, if you ask most any TT product owner, they will tell you they have certain good aspects,,,, but have a lot of negative issues, like not having any top end, sounding " mushy", ,|farting Out" under higher output requirements, and sound like you're playing through a cereal box.. So, we knew about these issues, and we got rid of the latex they used and have our own formulation made here in the USA.Suddenly, you have a superior product that kept all of that fat, thick, meaty tonality, yet omitted all of the other issues and the result is TREMENDOUS!

Fast, crisp impact, nice high end without the "Ice-Pick" tonality, and a very durable and "beer-Proof" product because of the long fiber hemp pulp.

Bass has speed and impact, as well as an even response, hence an excellent cone to make these hybrids with...Mix these in with your OEWM Hartke speakers for a full, fat, 3 dimensional presentation, and without that harshness.

A textile/ cloth surround was selected to provide high compliance and excursion, and they are sealed and dampened....

Oh, an ALUMINUM dust cap was selected to extend the response out another half octave and they were employed properly...

These were wiped inside with a coat of the PMR "ReZon-ex", so they don't have that beaming or ice pick sound... The high end is smooth, even and usable, also allowing these to blend in with a Hartke rig...OR- run one or two on it's own, and you'll suddenly think you have a completely different, superior sounding rig or practice amp....

* Fully tested under diagnostics and operates without any rubbing, smoking, buzzing, holes, rips, or tears, as they are basically "NEW" UNITS AGAIN.

Plus, I'm confident enough that you'll LOVE what you just bought, that I am including my 15 day. " NO GAMBLE" return option from delivery date (((less customer damage))) if for ANY REASON you simply don't like what you just bought, or you dis agree with ANYTHING I just typed...
