Up for sale is a vintage Fender Jazz Bass that lived its life on stage, not in a case—owned and played by Jance Garfat of Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show during an era when songs like “Sharing the Night Together” were defining a sound.
This isn’t a museum piece. It’s a working musician’s instrument from a working musician’s career—honest, road-worn, and full of character.

- 1962 Fender Jazz Bass body (professionally refinished)
- 1964 Fender Jazz Bass neck with original tuners
- Original pickups, bridge, knobs, and serial plate
- One original pot retained
- Hootenanny strap button—a small but telling detail of the era
